Virage was an alternative music group from The Hague (NL).

Members:
Mattia Muilwijk – vocals, lyrics
Anthony Blokdijk – guitar and additional instruments
Louis V. – guitar
Rob Bothof – bass (on bonus tracks)

Mattia and Anthony met in 2013 during music therapy sessions. From these sessions, which were coached by Anthony, a full band was formed and some gigs were played. After the group parted ways in 2014, Mattia and Anthony decided to continue writing and playing music together under a new name: Virage.

Through the marvels of social media, Anthony asked Louis to participate in this new endeavour. These two knew of each other’s existence for a long time and although they were both active in the local underground scene under various guises and for a long period of time, they never actually met in person. When they finally did meet in 2015, Louis promptly decided to join the band and the trio started working on original material, which resulted in the release of The Cage EP in June.

Shortly after The Cage EP was released, Rob, a former drummer eager to learn bass, joined the band.

Sadly Mattia has left us unexpectedly on October 2 2015. To conclude the project three extra tracks were added to the EP. "Penelope's Song" a new studio recording and two unfinished rehearsal sketches: "Lost" and "What's Real".
